Whenever there is an area that needs cleaning but is hard to reach, the Olympus S2120 is just the right unit you need as it has a telescopic wand that you can extend to hard to reach areas. You don’t need to worry about your rug or carpet going bald as this unit has a rug tool that allows you to thoroughly clean but not damage any type of rug or carpet you have, whether it is cut pile, velvet or plush.

You can vacuum your house and even crank it up to its full power without sounding like your operating a power tool in your living room. However, the power cord on this unit is a bit on the short side, though not much of a problem because of the telescopic wand.
Olympus S2120 has all the necessary “bells and whistles” that a vacuum cleaner needs and more but it is quite expensive and to on top of that, you need to buy a separate power head that specializes on carpeting that may cost you more money than what you had put in for the actual unit. Though the electronic head on this unit handles fairly well with regards to carpet or rug cleaning, it can’t guarantee 100% hair-free rug for pet owners who have heavy shedders on their hands.
The Olympus S2120 also comes with a dusting brush, upholstery nozzle, and a crevice tool for tight spots that you need to be cleaned. It also has a 4.76 quart Hyclean dust bag that serves as an additional air filter that would leave the air in your house a lot cleaner. But, you need to be careful with the dust bag, because once it is damaged and you replace it with another bag from another brand, it will not work as well as the old bag and may will leave the stuff that you vacuumed on the canister’s walls and might end up damaging the whole unit.
OVERALL RECOMMENDATION
Besides the steep price that the Olympus S2120, it is a can be a good buy when used at its full potential. With all the power packed in such a light and quite vacuum cleaner, you won’t be looking anywhere else and you will enjoy using this unit as long as possible.
